Cait Redman: Quirky, Witty, and has Great Hair â€‹

"During rehearsals, Cait's feedback is always the first I seek. Where others see problems. Cait crafts solutions to production challenges with grace, creativity, and a wisdom that belies her years. Her observations offer a rare blend of artful insight and practical savvy." --Matt Davies, Director

Cait Redman is a director currently based in Staunton, VA, who has a deep passion for Shakespeare, new works, and devised theatre. She earned her MFA in Shakespeare & Performance from Mary Baldwin University.

Cait believes that theatre is a service industry, and strives to create not just plays, but experiences for audiences through a dedication to clear storytelling and flair for movement-based spectacle. Her directorial practice is rooted in Viewpoints and caters to a collaborative work environment.

Cait is often found staging works where…

….Ghosts appear

….Siblings are reunited

….Lovers make devastating mistakes

….There might be a puppet

….And women take matters into their own hands.

When not leading rehearsals, Cait can be found in the wild at her local coffee shop or plant store. She enjoys playing The Cranberries for her aloe plant, Lana Del Aloe.

She is a firm supporter of Sriracha.
